Measuring approximately 5â? high x 3â? wide x 4.5â? deep, the Supergirl Michael Turner Mini Statue is a hand-painted, cold-cast porcelain sculpture packaged in a 4-color box; manufactured to order, the limited edition Supergirl Mini Statue is designed by Michael Turner and sculpted by Tim Bruckner. Clad in her short-skirted, midriff-exposing red and blue costume, the waifish Supergirl is depicted in mid-levitation above a small palisade of ice crystals. The contemporary Kara Zor-El was trained by Amazons on Themyscira and was abducted by Darkseid and brainwashed to become a temporary leader of the Female Furies. Supergirlâ?TMs Kryptonian lineage and proximity to the yellow sun provide her with items such as superhuman strength, flight capability and invulnerability.

The supergirl statue is a fine example of comic art. She looks perfect from all 360 degrees around. The illusion that she is hovering over the base is superbly done. Best of al she is a fine 3-d representation of Michael Turner's work. Any one who loves Superman, comics, or Michael Turner should own this statue!

I was not one of the lucky folk to get the original full sized statue of this that came out in 2005. Much to my chagrin, since those limited edition beauties now go for easily $800 bucks. Such is the way with these limited edition statues, they just keep going up and up and up in value. So I was DELIGHTED to see this mini-bust, and ordered one right away. I was right to be so excited, because she's gorgeous. I cannot put into words the way she actually seems to float there. Her feet don't touch on a base of any sort, and she appears to float above Kryptonian crystals, perhaps at the Fortress of Solitude. The trick is that the cape, which looks flowing and lightweight, actually holds the support structure for the entire figure. Nonetheless, it gives this 5 star statue the appearance that she's actually floating there. It's just absolutely gorgeous.
