36 of 36 people found the following review helpful: = Durability: This review is from: Fisher-Price Imaginext DC Super Friends The Batmobile (Toy) My son got this toy for his fourth birthday this week and yesterday we started having the same problems reported by others: when you turned the key the toy would make a short motor sound and blink the lights under the dashboard twice, but then it wouldn't start rolling. I figured it was the batteries that came with the toy and replaced them, to no avail. At that point I decided to open the toy to see if I could figure out what the problem was.
After just a few minutes I figured it out. Under the hood, there is a "kill switch" that's activated by the front wheels, so that the toy won't start if it's not on the ground with the front wheels pushed up. Great idea in theory, but it apparently came loose while my son had been playing with it. I reseated it and reattached the body of the toy and it works like a charm again. Which is great because my son absolutely loves this toy. 1. Change batteries and try it. If it still does not work: 2. Open it up (6 or 7 screws underneath 3. There is a push button rubber switch located under the bonnet. Put a few layers of insolation tape on the bit that touches this rubber button when cover is on.
