McFarlane Toys Halo Reach Series 2 - Grunt Minor Action Figure Orange

I have amassed a collection of mcfarlane figures, including now, a grunt minor. If you read any of these reviews at all you know that the Reach figures seem to be much less pose-able than previous collections, have very good sculpts, and hit or miss paint jobs.

This grunt is no exception. The sculpt looks like it came right out of the game, but is always posed in a high standing position in order to balance. This means standing right next to my Ultra, they show their true selves, cloned molds with a different methane tank. I understand thats probably as true to game as possible, but without allowing them to pose at all: crouched down, standing up, on three limbs, diving, cowering (all positions seen in game) they look repetitive and like a cash in on paying an artist for one final mold.

The needler gun is pretty good, but the needles look cheesy (easter pink) and some of mine came bent out of the package, so it looks like his gun is having a bad pink hair...Read more

Nice figure! Big halo fan here! A lot of moving parts and it's a huge grunt! love it! a must have for halo fans.

Love my little Grunt I bought for my man for Christmas, he looks great and will be welcome into his already large Halo figurine family. He seems to be in great condition in the package, but the needle gun looks a big cheesy. I am glad his mask comes off but I was hoping the orange color would be a big darker than it is. No biggie. Good grunt for any Covenant collection.
