There's no sense going into battle unprotected. Just like the helmets on the Power Rangers television show, this helmet is contoured with rounded edges to fit the shape of your head. The helmet comes in two pieces -- a mask and a back head plate -- that snap together into place. While this toy should not be considered a safety protective design, it is lined with foam padding in case of bumps and include a head guide with adjustable strap to keep the helmet from rattling around. Made with chrome red plastic, the helmet design integrates a tinted visor and mouth guard with slits for easy breathing. Above the visor the mask features a silver chrome band with mega-action LED lights that flash red, yellow, and green along with sound effects. Loaded With Sound Effects
Power Rangers control the sound effects with the two buttons on the top of the helmet. Button 1 activates quick sayings and battle sounds to get you pumped for your mission, and button 2 plays the top secret mission messages. "The fate of the world lies in your hands," one mission reads, "So get here -- fast!" You can set the volume to "high," "medium," or "low." The on/off dial also has a "try me" setting that only plays the mission messages as long as the button is held down. In the "on" setting, the button only needs to be pressed once to play the entire message and is stopped with another push. Download More Missions
Using the included USB cord, which plugs into the top of the helmet, you can download over 20 new and exciting missions from Bandai's Power Ranger Operation Overdrive Web site. The downloading software program is not included with the toy, but can be downloaded using a computer with Microsoft Windows XP or Vista. (Unfortunately, this program is not compatible with Mac computers.) Snap-on accessories that attach to the side of this Red Ranger helmet are sold separately.
