Round 5 MMA Quinton Jackson

Comment: These are not cheap novelty toys. These are well made, solid action figures fit for display. Excellent craftsmanship.

Rampage guards our video games with his supreme might! Oh and another interesting note: his chain is actually metal. Very neat.

Comment: There are two items of note coming (or already out in Round 5's case) to the "toy" business from MMA. UFC action figures made from Jakks, which are mainly for kids to play with. When I had first heard UFC was looking to contract for figurines, I was hoping they would get a deal with say, MacFarlane (sp?) toys for some great looking figures that would sit well on an entertainment center. The deal with Jakk's crushes that though.

So there are the Round 5 MMA figures. Good collector's items to put on the shelf, I keep my two (Quinton and Wand) next to my MMA DVDs. The Rampage figure has a little extra worth due to the accessory chain that comes with it.

Comment: I am a huge fan of MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) and was intrigued by the idea of having an action figure of some of my favorite fighters. This action figure is of Quinto "Rampage" Jackson. As many fans of MMA know Rampage likes to howl before he fights an opponent. This action figure captures Rampage doing his signature howl. I find the likeness to be very close to that of Rampage and even appreciate the fact that this action figure somes with a similar looking chain to the one Rampage wears before he fights. I have not opened the package since I am collecting it. Since it is not opened I cannot say how it moves, however, the plastic looks sturdy and well manufactured. I am pleased with this picture.

Comment: Although initially turned off by the 'caricature' look of these figures, after purchasing one and seeing it first-hand I wasn't disappointed at all. They are highly detailed, and the exaggerated proportions just make them a bit more fun and a bit less severe-looking. For UFC fans this is a nice, fun token of devotion.
