Yeah, it's kind of cool that his head and feet can be pulled on and off. However, it makes for a much less durable toy and one that young children shouldn't play with. Also, his "cloak" is a plastic piece of garbage compared to the more realistic synthetic clothes that past Yoda action figures have had. Finally, Yoda's lightsaber doesn't stay in his hands very well. In REVENGE OF THE SITH, fans were treated to the most personal Yoda we have seen. Unfortunately, the toy manufactures must have not agreed and have produced a Yoda that looks, feels, and plays much older than he should. 4 of 5 people found the following review helpful: By FrednTidy (NY United States) - See all my reviews = Durability: This review is from: Star Wars E3 BF49 YODA (Toy) I personally thought this was a good Yoda figure. This is the FIRING CANNON version, NOT the SPINNING version. The sculpt is detailed and crisp. He also has very good articulation for a small figure of his size. He is wearing pants which allows his legs to bend, unlike many other Yoda figures which are unposeable blocks due to molded skirts. The "Vintage Original Trilogy" version of Yoda is also a pretty good figure with a cloth skirt that allows for leg movement, but this version here comes with additional movement at the ankles, a lightsaber, and a big spring-loaded cannon. The big cape tends to tip the figure backwards a bit, but it is managable and is removable. A bit about safety: I read some criticism here about parts popping off. This is because the newer figures tend to be made with ball joints. This enables 360 movement and when under stress, parts pop off and can be put back on, as opposed to just breaking apart. Because of the parts issue in...Read more 4 of 5 people found the following review helpful: By = Durability: This review is from: Star Wars E3 BF49 YODA (Toy) I loved Yoda. I recently purchased this little guy and his foot immediately fell off. My three year old said, "Dad, I can do it"....and he put it back on. This shows how easily the foot pops on and off. As we walked through a dept. store he then mentioned how the head was gone. It had come off as well. The feet and head are on attached via ball and socket. I found the toy dept. and bought a different Yoda. This one is nice for a collection but not durable for play. |
