The Secret Saturdays Cryptid Claw

My eight year old got this for his birthday and plays with it all the time. He watches Cartoon Network during his t.v. time and discovered this toy. He was very excited when he got it for his birthday. It makes cool sounds and let your little one use his imagination. The only con is that my two year old likes it as well and the two boys may argue about who plays with it. In that case, it's best to buy two =)

I would not recommend this toy to anyone. The kids were excited to receive it and had a great time for about 15 minutes. Then, the hook got stuck in the out position, the lights and sounds also stopped working. I opened it up to see what happened and found the hook is actuated by four little nubs that are spring loaded. One of the nubs had broken off. Not surprising since they were so small. Oh well. Another one bites the dust.

This product is sturdy, has cool sounds and my 5 year old loved it. That's until it stopped working. One day (after having it less than a month) he pushed the buttons and the claw no longer worked. All of the sounds still went off so it seems mechanical rather than electrical. It was fun while it lasted.
