Product Description
So impressive a figure as to almost seem like some drunken dream born from excesses of fermented energon, the Voyager Class Bludgeon marks the upgrade of the Deluxe Class version into a Japanese Type 90 with a robot mode based upon the Pretender shell of the Gen 1 Bludgeon; constructed to resemble a depraved skeletal samurai with malevolent red eyes, Bludgeon is equipped with a katana. A martial-specialist, Bludgeon was defeated in his duel against fellow Metallikato practitioner, Whirl. Retreating into the jungle, Bludgeon later reemerged, having acquired a new larger form, in Southeast Asia. The stories of Bludgeonâ?TMs indiscriminate carnage have reached venerable Autobot Ironhide, prompting the latter to seek out the former; Bludgeon, meanwhile, waits patiently, hoping to regain his honor by defeating Ironhide.

5.0 out of 5 stars A must have if you like tank Transformers, August 2, 2010

I didn't like Bludgeon at first because the concept of a Samurai robot just seemed absurd to me. But I bought him because I like tank Transformers and with the exception of Leader-class Brawl, Bludgeon is the best I've seen. Modeled accurately after a Japanese Type 90 tank, his vehicle mode is awesome with a full-rotating turret, rubber tread, and excellent detail. The only thing I find to be distasteful are the bits of orange plastic. I will be painting mine.

Robot mode is a little corny in my opinion with the skull-head, skull-chest-plate, and Samurai weapons and armor. But he's grown on me and I think Hasbro did a great job of incorporating pieces of the tank armor and tank tread into his body armor. The best gimmick is the pop-open turret which reveals a sheath for one of his swords. Proportions are great with no bulky junk hanging off anywhere. Its actually a very well thought out robot mode and, despite his awful orange and yellow colors, I think it came...Read more

I will start off by saying this is one of the best updated, new transformers out there!I like the bludgeon that comes in the master of metallikato set very much, but this new version is just all around more bad-ass.The tank mode is very sweet with plenty of firepower. The robot form is different than the usual, but very unique at the same time.I love the face being a skull with a dead samurai warrior hellbent on revenge. The figure is very durable, and made very well. The transformation is not that difficult. When you are transforming him though on the part where you slide his top torso to his bottom half you might have to apply a little pressure for it to slide, but be careful at the same time and it should work out fine.I actually think the color scheme on this one is just right.I think the orange looks good with the green,it gives the figure more life in my opinion.Overall Bludgeon is a very well made, durable, upgraded figure that any transformer fan should have.I highly recommend this...Read more

5.0 out of 5 stars Bludgeon is quite the bruiser!, March 8, 2010

This has got to be the best voyager class figure of both movies so far! Bludgeon is pure decepticon right down to his servomotors with an awesomely destructive tank mode and a robot form that could scare the pants off of even the most seasoned of autobot soldiers. He really has everything that an evil robotic samurai needs including; one long sword for standard combat, a nice short sword for the classic decepticon sneak attack, some samurai armor that looks mean enough to win the fight on the power of ugly alone, and a jungle tank mode when all else fails.

I know I've said this about others but Bludgeon really is THE movie toy to get!
