it's nifty. not for children, mind you. maybe the small choking parts are what make it nifty in my mind...

anyway, it's a fun thing to have on a desk. while i wouldn't say i play with this thing, i do quite enjoy looking at it

I was very pleased with this product. It was shipped in under 10 days from Hong Kong to Michigan. It is a small ship, just like the image indicates and was exactly what I expected when I purchased it.

It is a model, not a toy. That being said it is quite fragile and is really only meant for display.

Everything on it fit properly no problem.

My only complaint is that the ship is not quite to scale. The Saucer Section is a bit too thin as is the neck, but other than that it is very nice and pleasant to look at. At a distance, you can't even notice the scaling issue, its mostly noticeable if your holding it.

I purchased for like $15 after shipping and thought it was a great value.

This miniature model of the Enterprise D is not a toy and would not really work well as a toy. It is a very affordable collective whose visual appearance well resembles the classic space ship. It is not quite to scale, though. The body is a little thinner that it should be. Even though it is very well detailed for its about 3 inch size, the details are a little flat too. I still give it five stars, because the detail and appearance is excellent for its size. To me, the starship symbolizes the TV series and a vision of the future where humans solve their problems with science, realism, optimism, and compassion, and then learn to go out in space to colonize other worlds and meet other civilizations. I did like how in certain episodes the present time period is talked about in the past tense, how the many challenges we face now are eventually overcome in a few hundred years.
